A GOOD CASED 120-BORE PERCUSSION TRANSITIONAL REVOLVER, no visible serial number,
circa 1840, with blued octagonal 4in. barrel, dove-tailed fore-sight, fully fluted colour hardened six-shot cylinder, open frame with rounded colour hardened scroll engraved action signed in a banner on the left hand side 'HAMMOND, WINCHESTER', central bar-hammer with sighting slot, automatic safety, finely chequered walnut butt with moulded iron butt-cap and silver oval escutcheon, guarded trigger and articulated under-barrel rammer, much original finish remaining and complete with a period walnut case for the same revolver compartmented and lined in green velvet and including a bag-shaped flask in fine condition, brass bullet mould, cap tin and loading rod, all bar the mould possibly associated
